chiong finished kachou wa maid-sama in 2 days. ahaha, that usui takumi really interest me.. lmao... he's one character that i can't seem to fully comprehend.
he teases misaki a lot, likes to irritate her but gets really protective and obsessive. but anyway, he always has his eyes on misaki, so when misaki is in danger, he'll be the first to pop out and volunteer (whether misaki wants it or not *snickers*)
he confessed his love to misaki a lot of times but misaki just thought that he's kidding her (yes, trying to irritate and poke fun of her) and then finally, he kissed her.
she got so irritated and awkward with that kiss that she couldn't concentrate on anything at all. so usui went over and kissed yukimura, a guy, to show his appreciation for him (it was just a test to see misaki's reaction if it would make her feel better) and yeah, she felt better and returned to normal, thinking that usui will just kiss anybody who has helped him. she went into a crazy state and started laughing after she thought usui has left the classroom. (usui was just hiding outside the classroom and he lowered his head as he heard her say things like "so it's like that? HA HA HA! i must have been thinking too much!! it's so stupid of me!")
bet that hurts a lot. lol. (he went over and kissed another guy just and ended up hurting himself just to make misaki feel better... o_O... extinct species liaoz...)
then later in the series, kanou saw how usui was always protecting misaki and always around misaki when she needs him. then kanou went to ask usui why he wouldn't date her or something. (being her boyfriend or along those lines) he replied something like "it's too troublesome" and kanou misunderstood it. he thought usui was just playing with misaki but usui was actually talking about himself. lol.
but anyway, it's really interesting to see how that forever-uninterested-in-anything usui jumping out of his character and sticking out his tongue at misaki. he looks dumb, and always bored. but actually it's just that he's not interested in anything that he already knows.
about the possessive part, that one really pwns. he's almost a perfect person, excellent grades, able to play the violin, aces sport like wtf and is skilled in i-duno-what-martial-arts (they call it "shaolin kungfu" but i think you know why i'm skeptical about it .___.) but inside him is but a childish kid who gets jealous easily. and the things he does when he's jealous... LOL it just gives me the...motivation to read on (despite the bad quality of the manga)
he didn't want misaki to be the beach princess, so he entered the volleyball contest and wanted to win the contest sooo badly. LOL. he only "woke up" from his jealousy when misaki shouted "when did usui become my enemy?!" but then misaki had an accident after that and usui used his body as a shield to protect misaki. (hahaha, this only happens in manga where there is negative human reaction time and people fall down with slow motion :X)
