i don't understand how people keep asking for opinions when they've already decided. i mean, today mom just got the list of housing that we can apply for and she has set her eyes on the new apartments in tampines.
i'm ok with tampines, just that it takes a freaking long time for me to go to school.
she got all excited about it and said "i've taken photos of it!!!" and she started finding her phone and showing me the photos.
blimey, guess what, she took photos of the EXTERIOR part, that is, she shot the BUILDING, not the apartment. i mean, most HDB building looks alike right?
then she went on rattling about the houses in merpati, marine parade, bedok, eunos... while i was watching kuroshitsuji with my ears plugged.
i thought i could ignore her, you know, because all these housing stuff doesn't mean anything to me, especially when someone has already made up her mind =_=
you should see the kind of ecstasy when she's talking about the N-E-W apartments in tampines as compared to the O-L-D apartments in merpati, eunos, bedok etc.
it's like talking about new clothes vs old clothes. (the kind of 'oh, i want a dress with a ribbon' VS 'oh, this dress has a ribbon' talks)
what's the point? she's already decided and she then proceed on to decide that we all will go to merpati, eunos and tampines to check the houses there on sunday. POINT BEING? moot point. so why not we just go on and see the house in tampines? get it fast and done over with rather than crawling all the way to merpati, then eunos, then bedok then spiral back down to tampines?
i feel so glum now. why? because i can't even watch kuroshitsuji in peace. oh gawd. what wrong did i do so that mom just HAD to keep on talking while i was watching?! yes yes, i know she's excited, but the thing is, she WAS talking on the the phone at the S-A-M-E time!!!
heh, maybe women are just better than men when it comes to multi-tasking.
especially when it comes to talking incessantly --- to a few people at a time. (that's a skill i haven't mastered, yet.)
