My plans for today was supposed to be going to SH's house to mug whole day long. However, it seems to have been cancelled even without my notice. lols.
Anyway, I've been cooping at home all day long, trying to figure the damned vectors out in futile. I've come to a solemn decision after all these hours; Vector Suck.
End of decision.
Then I went to play, again! :D My friend heard about me overpaying for a pair of dex earrings, and he valiantly offered to sponser me a grand 250m as he had run into Lady Luck during his times of Gacha. He said he'd gacha-ed out a couple of rare chairs and sold them for 1bil each. Since there wasn't any reason to doubt him and he has already bought all his eq for his sin, I'd accepted his offer to help. Well. His basis for helping was simple and clear: I am his fellow Singaporean, the sole Singaporean from his entire BL.
Afterwhich, I itchy-backside-ly went to check Hiddenstreet for god-knows-what. I ended up on the page for Skillbooks soon after, and I happily encountered the page of Skelegon and Skelesaurus... Little did I realise that they dropped a hell lot of Skillbooks until then. ^_^; Perhaps that would explain why so many people are crowding around those monsters, excluding the fact that they are havens for spamming sessions.
Whilst playing Maple, the idea of Economics came crashing into my mind. Well, MapleStory has run into high inflation after all these years and Nexon is doing everything they can to salvage the situation. Reason of inflation? Many players who are holding on to large amount of meso are permanently inactive, making the meso supply high, and meso circulation low. What did Nexon do? Impose meso tax everywhere and the donation system. The donation system is something that Nexon has come up with to curb the unrelentless inflation and, as a matter of fact, it doesn't really work. The amount of meso that goes into donation are merely tip of the whole mountain of Maple meso supply. what's 40 million meso when a single player alone can own 4 billion meso?
Undeniably, it's not going to work in curbing the rising inflation. What Nexon should do is to send an email to all existing, permanently quit players who are holding large amount of meso to ask for their permission to cancel account. Really, that would make things much simpler. In the event they do not reply, impose a "reply latest by" for the return email! That's what Nexon's capable of, isn't that so? With the meso supply almost halved, now, that'll really reduce the meso supply with a visible effect after some time. Well, sometimes, Monetary Policy do come with a lot of strings attached, with each string coming with a tag of "time lag".
What Nexon can do next is to reel in it's quest for more money. Eradicate Gacha and you'll get a real economy in a virtual world. Factor Gacha in and you'll get semi-real economy in a virtual world; all thanks to the fact that anyone who is rich for a game of Gacha or two, plus some luck, can be rich in the game of Maple. Too bad for those who are down on their luck, then. Such loose Monetary Policy, giving meso in the form of Gacha-ed items, will result in inflation. With better equipments coming from gacha, people now expect to have more upgraded equipments. Such expectations drives the competition up and indirectly pushes prices up. What'll really push things down is to minimise Gacha-ers. And the way to minimise Gacha-ers? To push the price of Gacha coupons up, something that curbs the inflation at the expense of Nexon.
Okay, I think I'm crapping too much on Economics. zzz. Time to go back to our dearest vectors.
Damned.
