Hypocrites. Sunday, August 16, 2009, 12:44 PM |
one particular thing has been bugging me for weeks and i haven got the chance to blog about it. ya know, i really hate people who don't mean what they say. in short, i hate hypocrites. all sorts of hypcrites...
i hate people who tries to fake up a front. and im not talking about the positive ones like, trying to put up a brave front. im talking about those who tries to appear generous, kind etc but essentially, they aren't what they try to be. it's frustrating to see someone act like a samaritan then gets so honoured and respected overnight. and guess what, the person ends up to be unhelpful and gossipy behind backs. if this is a samaritan, then i guess there'll either be no hypocrite in this world, or Oxford may want to consider changing the definition of a "samaritan".
i hate people who don't mean what they say. i was playing daidi yesterday and maria had said: "oh dear, i've got a lousy hand." then, royal flush and four of a kind. if this is lousy, then please enlighten me, tell me what's a good hand. let's drift away from maria, she's too much of a hypocrite. let's turn to classics: "oh dear, i did badly for this test." and then the person ends up with good grades or grades above average or just the grade that the person usually gets. so what's wrong with the person? what's wrong with saying "i think i did ok" or "as per normal"?
another classic one, the one that's supposed to be diplomatic. when a person asks you "what's your opinion of me" out of the blue, what do you say? "ok lor"? or "good. i like your character.....*listing "good points*"? c'mon, i think the person would rather you hurt her pride now and then than to get her pride in a blardy mess years later.
and yes, if you ask me that dumb question, i'll reply you as honestly as i can but its in my language. meaning, there's probably a double, triple meaning in it depending if you can decipher it. when i say "ok ok lor" means i dun really like you. "huh?" means i dont know you well to tell you, and my opinion is rather neutral, neither like nor dislike. "why?" means i duno how to answer you, either i duno how to describe your character or that my opinions towards you is rather blurred. lastly, if i dun reply you and gives you a "diao-ed" face...(actually it's not a diao-ed face. it's a wth face. XD) that means "seriously, you want me to say?"
im done. and in conclusion, hypocrites are just...a bunch of semi-diplomats and semi-hypocrites depending on which side of the paper you're burning your face into. (i prefer to look at the ugly side coz diplomatic is, obviously, not my cup of coffee.)
