okkays, dun bug me now. im stuffed.
it's such a busy week that i havent been able to on the comp for the whole of this week. much of a surprise to me that i haven succumb to the comp temptation~. (well, im only oning it 'coz i need to check my chem banding for tomo's lesson and the cursed venue.)
well, here are my mid year results. not too flamboyant but neither is it too bad.
H2 ECON!
with only around 31% of the cohort passing, it seems like a huge surprise that i belong to the 31% who passed. so i belong to the "top one-third econ student" huh? or do i belong to the "best in terms of econ tyco skills"? seriously, i have NO idea why i got so high marks for my essay part B. imagine, L3-10/13. WOW wow WOW! and it seems to me that econ teachers give a grade based of feeling and impression instead of the usual marking scheme based on points given. there's a question which i wrote 3/4 of the page and scored full four marks with the whole question having teacher's question marks and crosses and not a single tick anywhere. seems wrong, yet correct. CHEEM.
H2 CHINESE!
miraculously, i passed. obviously, i flunked paper 2 and paper 1 helped me like dot dot dot. 33.5% for paper 2 and 60.5% for paper 1. and guess what, they average out to be.... 47.8% ! an E! yesh, E for elephant! (aye, the results won't change no matter how much i wish E is for Donkey or Cat or Boy or Apple. sad.) my paper 1 was PURE TYCO, again. i scored 20/30 for compo with teacher's comment being: boring and hard to understand. i scored 11.5/20 for gu wen as i've studied for lou shi ming question (the front part was pure hell.) i scored 10/12 for summary, something i've NEVER passed before. cool, heh? i wonder if i've used up all my tyco-ness this time round. 'coz it would be D.E.E.P.S.H.I.T if i did.
H2 MATH!
an E fullstop. sadly, the cohort scored an average score of 30-odd and im sadly to announce that i belong to the average. below average even, i reckon. i scored 33.5/70, barely a D, confirm an E. nonetheless, i was rather glad that i passed. the very least, i didn get stuck in my A-math cycle for long. (A-math cycle: in sec school, i always scored E8~F9 in the beginning of the year and i only begin to pick up after around aug or sept. and by end-of-year, it's normally around A2~B4. )
H1 CHEM!
hell. i confess, i didnt study, at all. i wanted to study the night before but i was emo-ing over LEP paper 2 (yesh, chem was after chi paper 2) and wasn't in the mood to study at all. so i didn study at all the previous night before LEP paper 2 and chem. was watching TV. and then, i guess i got real high after paper 2 cuz after i ate, i went back school alone to want to study. but halfway to the library, i spotted a pretty girl who was sitting alone at the benches. so i went and said hello and started talking about our primary school times. (she's my primary school best friend) and so, once again, the day is saved by... chitchatting. and i ended up in the exam hall with an empty head and realising in utter horror that CHEMICAL BONDING was tested too! that was a somewhat new topic! mrs chee only talked to us briefly about it in sec 4 times! holycow. so... i literally screwed every chemical bonding question. "shape of H30", "shape of NH4+", "shape of duno what thing, NaF2 i tink" and my answer to ALL was: pyramidal tetrahedral, i tink. i got 1 correct. .___. shape of molecule all correct and angle all correct. (i just said "shit" and whacked.)
that's all folks. what's left is GP. i hope i can get a D. (: why D, you may ask. it's 'coz D is "the legitimate" passing grade. E is 45~49.5 and... in my opinion, that's hardly a pass! that's more like a passing grade given due to us being too pitiable. [imagine] omg! only 15% of the cohort got at least 50/100 (legitimate passing mark)? aiyo, then.. put the passing mark to be 45/100 la! at least got 25% of the cohort pass mah! look nicer~[/imagine] that's... rather pathetic, isn't it? (and i got two Es. wth. so im doubly as pathetic. lols.)
okkays. i haven bath and it's ady 10:25PM. gonna off comp, bath, do H2 chinese compre.
and TOMORROW is a new day! gonna ask mdm loke if parents can dont attend the parents' night if students pass all subjects. (for example, me.) 6 - 9:30pm of a sterotypical idiot-like waiting is plain wastage of time. i tink i rather play. or mug.
PROMOs! IM COMING!
well, i heard 3As get you an honoury award. i wonder what will A,C,E get? (A for math, C for econ, E for chinese for me. ._.) perhaps a consolation prize? i certainly hope so! :3
oh ya. lastly. we went victoria concert hall for rehearsal today and i recalled some fractions of sec 2 memories. the AMAZING math race! oh god! we were supposed to be the first team to finish but our councillor LOST HER WAY and the other councillors were more concerned about helping their group get to the finishing point than helping her get her group to the finishing point. (we finished the game but dono how to go back. they were still running about like monkeys, trying to figure out the next station.)
sad. i remember it was a real challenge. one of the station was VCH but the mission that we were to complete was hidden at a corner of the BIG vch outer building. "count the number of complete tiles at the front entrance of vch." i tink it was around 408 complete tiles. then there was another station, at fullerton hotel. the mission was pasted on an obscure pillar opposite the road facing fullerton hotel. "only one person can enter the hotel, what is the number of chandelions in the hotel lobby?" andy went in and tada. another station was something like "whistle and sing the whole school song" and well, ezra whistled (he almost died whistling cuz the whole of school song = 1 starting, 1 chorus, 1 back, 2 chorus.) and the rest of us sang as loud as we could. then another station was outside a specific shop near the mcdonald shophouse area. we walked the whole stretch of shophouses twice before finding it. the paper was sticked on the horizontal size of a bulged square and you had to look closely before you can see it. i forgot what was it about but i know we went to ta bao in mcd after that mission. after eating, we had to hurry to our next destination and ezra ran at the bridge area, causing us to have our marks deducted as one of the game rules was that we cant run.
most importantly, our sweet but forgetful councillor (actually it's a sec4 student who organised that event for the sec 2 kids for CIP hours) was nicknamed tau-gay-soh. meaning beansprout lady. she said her friends were the ones who gave her that nick as she love to eat beansprouts. lols. oh ya, and we, cant run, cant take cab, cant ask for directions, took an hour to reach the beginning/final place. we knew where's that place but we dono how to go there. =.=" so.. we ended up to be the second last team to reach. z.z.z. first to second last.
BYES! <3
